MMA

MMA is becoming a nationwide phenomenon, and, if Police departments don't prepare themselves, they will find themselves lacking when involved in serious physical confrontations.

A.A.C.T. (Active Aggressor Control Tactics)is a program designed to help officers deal with the most aggressive offenders through realistic interactive training.  We offer two classes, a 16-hour operator and a 40-hour instructor class.  A.A.C.T. is registered with MCOLES and is 302 funds approved.   All A.A.C.T. instructors are police officers with extensive backgrounds in defensive tactics, ground fighting, and martial arts.

What will be taught?
  • Officers will learn basic ground fighting positions and submissions through extensive repetition.
  • Officers will  also learn basic but effective take-downs from the clinch/inside position.
  • Officers will increase both their confidence and ability with upper and lower body strikes.
  • Officers won't just be taught moves; they will learn a basic fighting system, which allows them to be proficient when handling aggressive offenders in any situation or position.
Who should attend?
This program is open to any certified police officer that wants to learn how to effectively control an aggressive offender.  Officers need to be in good physical condition, as this class is hands-on and physically demanding.
